USDA Touts Job Creation Under Broadband Initiative Program

Washington, June 11 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture is touting the creation of 5,000 jobs through broadband deployment programs funded under last year’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Broadband Initiatives program.

The report, Connecting Rural America, summarizes the projects funded by the first round of awards and their effort to create jobs and long-term economic growth while making rural areas competitive through broadband access.
