The Public Housing Capital Fund

The economic stimulus package currently being debated by Congress would add billions of dollars to the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Public Housing Capital Assistance Fund. For years, HUD has cited major deteriorations to its housing stock and estimated that major increases to the Capital Fund were needed to restore the nation's public housing units.
