NTIA Accepting Revised Budget Plans for Broadband Mapping Program

Applicants who have already applied for Broadband Mapping funds under the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s State Broadband Data and Development Grant program have until next Tuesday, Sept. 15, to submit revised budget plans that represent a two-year period of performance instead of the five-year period originally anticipated.

The agency, earlier today, announced that it “has determined that it will at this time fund mapping and data collection efforts for two years and will assess lessons learned, determine best practices and investigate opportunities for improved data collection prior to obligating funds for subsequent years.”

NTIA, in making the announcement, said applicants were not required to submit new budget plans, but advised that it would allow applicants to submit new budget plans to reflect any revisions that may be necessary for the first two years of the award period.

The period of performance for Broadband Planning Grants remains unchanged.
