ETA Announces Availability of $90M in Recovery Act Emergency Grants

Washington, April 19 – The Employment and Training Administration is inviting state and tribal governments to apply for a share of $90 million provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to help dislocated workers cope with the effects of the recession.

Provided through ETA’s National Emergency Grants program, awards will supplement employment-related services provided through the agency’s formula-based Dislocated Workers program in communities that have experienced particularly disruptive events, such as mass layoffs and plant closures.
