ED ARRA Grantees Urged To Provide More Details
Washington, Sept. 8 – State and local educational agencies receiving American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant funds should provide more information in the project narrative to be more transparent in their use of these funds, according to the Government Accountability.
To achieve this, the GAO recommended Office in its latest report, “Recovery Act: States Could Provide More Information on Education Programs To Enhance the Public’s Understanding of Fund Use” that the Department of Education remove its standard language on the “quarterly activities/project description” reporting field in its Recovery Act reporting guidance and tell states to include details on how they are using the funds and their potential project outcomes and results.
