CDC Awards $40 Million in Heathcare-Associated Infections Funds
Healthcare providers and local health departments will want to get in touch with their state health departments now that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has distributed $40 million in Recovery Act funds to help prevent healthcare-associated infections. The funds are to be used to to create or expand state-based HAI prevention collaboration efforts, enhance state abilities to monitor and track HAIs, and build within health departments a workforce trained in HAI prevention.
