Arts Stimulus Funds Hit the Pipeline
Washington, March 2 – Arts organizations that have been, or may be, forced to cut positions, have until March 13 to request a share of $50 million being made available through the National Endowment for the Arts to help save those positions.
As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Pub. L. 111-5, the endowment has been given the money "to fund arts projects and activities which preserve jobs in the nonprofit sector threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn."
