ARRA Subrecipient Monitoring Proves Challenging
Washington, Feb. 1 – A common theme is dogging state educational agencies managing American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds — weaknesses in subrecipient monitoring.

Without adequate monitoring, states cannot ensure that LEAs are reporting complete and accurate information or spending funds as required under the Recovery Act.
